Are your products hand-made?
Yes! Most of our products are hand-made in the UK, and we take special care to ensure all our products are checked and produced to the highest standards.
What is the typical shelf life of Shadow Potions?
You can prolong the use of your Shadow Potion up to 6 months with our recommended care guide. When not in use, always keep the lid tightly shut and use the white cap as an additional layer of protection. We also advise you store it in a fridge and avoid direct sunlight and warm climates.
Why has my Shadow Potion dried out?
By not following our recommended care guide above, it can cause the Shadow Potion to appear reduced in size. It can also naturally dry out over a period if not kept in the correct storage. We always advise our customers to use a clean, sterilised make up brush for every use and to avoid contamination from any other products.
How can I reactivate my Shadow Potion?
If your Shadow Potion needs reactivating, you can add an equal amount of Fix Potion and the same colour Loose Pigment together to create the required and preferred consistency. This will give it some extra life and allow you to have more fun with it!
Are your products cruelty free?
Yes! Animal welfare is a cause close to our hearts, as the whole team are animal lovers with many pets between us. Whilst our products are not officially certified as ‘cruelty free’, we do not conduct or commission animal testing on ingredients, formulations, or finished products.
Are your products vegan-friendly?
Yes! We are proud that all of our products are ethically conscious and of the highest quality, crafted from premium ingredients that do not contain any animal derivatives or animal by-products.
Is your packaging recyclable?
The glass jars are fully recyclable. Please check with your local authorities to check of the plastic lids can also be recycled in your area.
Are there micro-plastics in your products?
None of our eyeshadows, pigments, or skin care products contain micro-plastics. However, our Special Effect Glitters are non-biodegradable. We are committed to helping our environment, so ask that you please discard the glitters carefully by placing them in the bin instead of washing them into the drainage system.
Is your mica ethically sourced?
Yes – our mica is lab-created from natural ingredients, not mined, as we do not support the working conditions of traditional mica mining. This lab-created mica perfectly mimics mined mica.
Do I need to do a patch test before using these products?
Yes. It is very important to ensure every product is patch tested before using it on the sensitive skin on your face and eyes, especially if you have sensitive skin. To patch test, apply a small amount of product to your wrist, inner elbow, or behind your ear and allow to sit for 24 hours. If any irritation occurs, remove immediately and discontinue use.
What is the best way to photograph my makeup looks?
Our products use light sensitive ingredients, so harsh light can make the colours appear washed out. We find that low, natural light displays the colours at their best.
