Job Title: Cosmetics Production Specialist
Location: Karla Cosmetics, Redditch, UK.
Terms: Part-Time
Role Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Cosmetics Production Specialist and embark on an exciting journey of ensuring smooth production and uncompromising quality control for our exceptional cosmetic products throughout their lifecycle. As a crucial member of our production team, you will play an integral role in batch coding, labelling, manufacturing, and maintaining an organised stock room while strictly adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities:
• Fulfil wholesale stockist orders within allocated timeframes, ensuring timely delivery.
• Coordinate and support production activities at Karla Cosmetics, contributing to a seamless workflow.
• Accurately batch code and label products to comply with EU regulations, always ensuring compliance.
• Manufacture high-quality products in our state-of-the-art lab area, conducting rigorous quality control checks to meet our stringent standards.
• Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety protocols, ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
• Efficiently process orders using our DPD mailing system, ensuring accuracy and prompt shipment.
• Collaborate closely with management to meet production targets and ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor and control stock levels, minimising discrepancies and ensuring optimal inventory management.
• Establish effective communication channels with stockists, fostering strong relationships and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
• Conduct physical inventories alongside Shopify (computer input), maintaining accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant procedures and documentation, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• Review briefs received from management, comprehending requirements, and executing tasks accordingly.
• Skilfully blend ingredients according to batch sheets, producing finished products of the highest quality.
• Conduct simple product testing to meet Karla Cosmetics' uncompromising specifications.
• Test products for the purpose of review and improvement, continuously enhancing our offerings.
• Perform bottling, labelling, and packaging of finished products, presenting them beautifully for shelf display.
• Validate the status of raw materials and packaging components for each order upon arrival, ensuring optimal quality.
• Unpack and organise new stock in appropriate locations, maintaining order and accessibility.
• Schedule shipments for stockists and handle goods upon receipt, ensuring timely and efficient distribution.
• Conduct quality control tasks, including inspection of finished products and packaging materials, facility audits, product troubleshooting, and pre/post-shipment inspections.
• Collaborate with external labs for microbiological testing and ensure stability testing is carried out, meticulously documenting changes in cosmetics. Skills taught in-house.
• Perform any additional duties as required to support the smooth operation of the production process.

• Meticulous eye for detail and the ability to execute tasks to the highest standards.
• Experience in a laboratory or cosmetic setting involving the handling and cleaning of beauty products or personal care (educational experience included) is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, and work well in a team.
• Excellent written English and writing skills for helping with emails, spreadsheets, and word documents.
Please note that this role requires standing for extended periods, working in varying temperatures, and repeated lifting/carrying of ingredients and products. Training will be provided at the beginning of employment to operate machinery or other required equipment.
